Use of basic software in the classroom

Currently, I am in the junior high doing my first educational practicum at Cache La Poudre Junior High, an excellent school.

My classroom teacher that I am shadowing, more or less, is amazing and uses many different teaching techniques to increase learning. One of them is using basic software. A favorite is the SmartBoard where she can touch and write on the projected computer screen. She can write notes on the page, save them on the computer, and print or post online for absentees or simply to see what she covered the next time notes begin again.

I would love a smart board!

Fall is my favorite

Chemical Naming

Email to Friend

This is a great Teacher Tube video for the difficult task of naming chemicals. This would be a good extra resource to offer students struggling with the task rather than as an introduction to the subject.

For great simulations of ionic and covalent bonding, scroll down and find the images!
I used this for a reference for a digital story I am currently working on for my educational technology class.
